Founded in 2007 in Portland, Maine by husband and wife team Patrick and Janeen Arnold. After shipping out with the U.S. Merchant Marines for several years, the couple founded SDG Inc. to provide jobs for individuals like themselves who who were in the marine sector and desired to work and live in Maine. Additionally, the two endeavor to expand network and economic opportunities along the shores of the state they call home.

Soli DG Inc. is presently performing all Marketing, Security, and Terminal Operations for the Maine Port Authority's International Marine Terminal (IMT). After bringing Icelandic shipping company Eimskip to Portland in 2013, the IMT has seen the growth of roughly 20% year after year; hitting 40% growth in 2020.
To further support existing economic development efforts in Maine and progress development in innovation with an emphasis on the sustainable use of local resources -we founded The New England Ocean Cluster.
